Laws and regulations
Most of the legislation within the Swedish Medical Products Agency's areas of responsibility is regulated at EU level and common to the entire EU. Swedish laws and ordinances are introduced in the Swedish Constitution Collection (SFS).
Many EU rules are also introduced in regulations. The Swedish Medical Products Agency's regulations are published as of 1 July 2015 in the Joint Constitution Collection regarding health and medical care, social services, medicines, public health, etc. (HSLF-FS). Regulations issued before this date have been published in the Swedish Medical Products Agency's Collection of Regulations (LVFS).
