Companies which need to import, export, transit, manufacture and trade in drugs need to apply to the Swedish MPA for authorisation.

Processing times
The Swedish MPA must take a decision on authorisation within four months of us receiving a complete application. However, processing is normally faster than that.
Fees
Undertakings which apply for or have obtained authorisation for import, export, manufacture and/or trade must pay a fee to cover the State's costs incurred in controlling narcotic drugs. The fees are specified in the regulation on the control of narcotic drugs.
