Narcotic drugs
Narcotic drugs are substances with addictive properties or euphoriant effects, or goods which can be easily converted into such substances. If you wish to handle drugs you need authorisation from the Swedish Medical Products Agency (MPA).
If you wish to engage in the import and export, manufacture, trade in or possession of drugs, you must apply to the Swedish MPA for authorisation. Authorisation is also required for the import of narcotic drugs through Sweden as an intermediate country, so-called transit. The Swedish MPA is also responsible for drug declarations of substances for medicinal use.

The Swedish MPA is responsible for a schedule of all substances which constitute narcotic drugs in Sweden.
