There are vaccines against a number of infectious diseases that are caused by bacteria or virus.
Childrens diseases
The national Swedish vaccination programme is regulated through the Public Health Agency of Sweden. The programme has a long history and today there are very few cases of serious children diseases, for example, measles and polio.
Season flu
The medical consequenses from the season influenza can be restricted effectively throught yearly vaccination of the primary risk groups.
